The Meeting is an interactive story where the user chooses their actions which lead to different results depending on the path taken.

The game is set up as a class Zoom meeting where you choose which student you partner up with for the assigned project. Each interaction will bring a different result or "end game". Some will be comedic and others will add to what we want you to take away from the experience. We want the users of the game to understand that people are not what they seem at first glance. Therefore, they will be able to interact with three main characters that each represent a  student archetype/stereotype. They will ask them deep questions in the hopes of learning that the characters are not what they seem at first glance and that initial perceptions and looks do not define a person. There is a realistic aesthetic to the game which is crucial in getting the user to understand that these stereotypes in real life can be broken. The user should feel like they are in one of their Zoom classes.

By Anthony Bourgeois and Lana Brady

Hello, I am Anthony, I stopped counting how many semester I’ve done after the fifth one. This work is a gathering of fleeting neurotic interest that I’ve explored during this semester. Rotoscopy, Scriptwritting, GIFs and Design, this project breathes experimentation in a comical and silly way that avoid taking itself too seriously.  I hope you enjoy.

Hi! I’m Lana, a second year Cinema-Communication student at Dawson. I have always loved to read and dive into different worlds, characters and stories. I enjoy writing stories as well. For this project, my partner , Anthony, and I have created an interactive game that places the user in an Ethics Zoom class. The main intention of this project is to shine a light on Zoom/student stereotypes by introducing the user to different character. I always enjoy embedding social commentary and issues into my work, in this case it is much more obvious. I have focused more on the storytelling, organization and written aspect of the project while my partner, Anthony, handles the audio-visual and website building aspects. We have worked together to try and create a fun and educational experience for the user. Hope you enjoy our website!
